Mrs. Lee (Sylvia) Seymour, 75, of Frederick, MD and formerly of Littlestown, PA, went peacefully home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Born on October 8, 1936 in Wichita, KS, she was the daughter of the late Henry P. Buscher and Eva Mae Buscher. Mrs. Seymour was employed at Weis Market at Spring Ridge. While a resident of Littlestown, she and her husband, David, owned and operated David's Gift World. Lee was an artist whose paintings won first prize at the county fair. She began her professional career as a hairdresser for Vincent and Vincent in Washington, D.C., and later became the first salon owner, Chic Hairstylists in the Frederick Towne Mall. Her greatest passions were her faith and her family. She had a special gift of praying for the sick and seeing results. She encouraged others to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and she gave generously to the poor and needy. She is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, David Seymour; one daughter, Jackie Teague and husband, Russell, of Knoxville, MD; three sons, Peter Hyden and wife, Carol, of San Antonio, TX; David Hyden and wife, Teresa, of Frederick; and Glen Hyden and wife, Joann, also of Frederick; one step-daughter, Debra Anderson and husband, Bruce, of Eldersburg, MD; and one step-son, Glen Seymour of Abbington, MD. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Seth, Cody, Jade, Reese and Devin Hyden, and Brandon Long of Frederick; Kevin Hyden of San Antonio, TX; Cheryl Pitt and husband, Shane, of Smithsburg, MD, and Nathan Teague of Knoxville; four step-grandchildren, Brian and Chris Anderson, and William and Sarah Dietrich; two great-grandchildren, William "Fox" and Bram Pitt; two sisters, Anita Fielder of Sterling, CO; and Carolyn Howe of Tow, TX; one brother, Hank Buscher of Chalmette, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her favorite cat, Kitcat. She was preceded in death by her parents and one step-daughter, Karen Seymour. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 16, at Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17 from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Samuel Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Clustered Spires Cemetery with David, Peter and Glen Hyden; Brandon Long; Shane Pitt; and Russell Teague serving as active pallbearers.
