J. Arthur Throne

November 14, 1917 — February 15, 2012

Art Throne passed away Wednesday Feb. 15, 2012 at his home in Braddock Heights, MD. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Patricia (Pat) Throne. He leaves behind son Richard J. Throne, son Paul A. Throne and his wife Peggy A Throne and grandchildren Brian and Lindsay Throne, son David W. Throne, and son Philip J. Throne and his wife Sandra M. Throne and grandchildren Mathew and Kristen Throne from Philip's previous marriage and three nieces and a nephew. Art was born in Milwaukee, WI and lived in Braddock Heights MD since 1953. He served in WWII headquartered at the Pentagon. He was treasurer of the Braddock Heights Volunteer Fire Company from 1957-1999. He was also a founding member of the Good Sheppard Lutheran Church in Frederick. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, February 17, 2012, in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 South Market Street, Frederick. Those wishing to attend should assemble inside the main gate in front of the Key Memorial Chapel by 10:45 AM. Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick.
