Geraldine &Quot;Jo&Quot; Frost Winpigler

Geraldine F. Jo Winpigler, 86, of Frederick, died on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation in Frederick. She was the wife of nearly 50 years to the late Clarence Walter Winpigler. Born on October 10, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Calvin Lenhart and Effie Ellen White.

Mrs. Winpigler spent 26 years as a nursing aide, working at Montevue Home and then the Odd Fellows nursing facility before her retirement at 75. She loved her grandchildren and cherished every chance they could be with her.

She is survived by her two children, Missy Birdsall and her husband Mike and Billy Winpigler II and his wife Laurie; four grandchildren Rebecca, Katie and Amy Winpigler and Jamie Collins; three step-grandchildren Bert, Jr., Sandy and Steve Collins. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law and one brother in law, Edna Lenhart, Janet Wisner and husband Allen, Anita Tobery and husband Donald and numerous step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 5 sisters, 9 brothers, sister-in-law Louise Rice and brother-in-law Charles R. Winpigler.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 11 from 12 to 1 PM at Keeney and Basford PA Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 PM in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, Rev. Kenneth Stalls, pastor of South End Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
