Mr. Richard A. Sliger, II, 71, of Frederick, died Friday, December 9, 2011 at Golden Living Center, Frederick. He had been a resident there for the past nine years.

Born October 23, 1940 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Richard A. and Blanche C. Sliger.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Sliger worked as a home builder in the construction industry.

Mr. Sliger loved Nascar racing and was an avid Redskins fan. He participated in many activities while a resident at Golden Living Center. He will be missed by his many friends.

He is survived by two step-daughters, Jessica Clinesmith and husband, Brian, of Frederick; and Tiffany Lease and husband, Ronnie, of Ft. Hood, Texas; and five step-grandchildren, Brennen, Hayleigh, Ryan, Tyler, and Austin.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick. Officiating will be the Rev. Katrina L. Holland. Those attending should assemble by 12:50 p.m. at the FSK Chapel at the cemetery.
