Michael Glenn Newcomb

Mr. Michael Glenn Newcomb, 40, of Winchester, VA, died on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at the Laurel Regional Hospital, in Laurel, MD. Born in Richmond, VA on October 9, 1965, he was a son of the late Lewis Baker Newcomb and Minnie Catherine Deeds Newcomb. Michael was a former resident of Upper Marlboro, MD, where during his adolescent years he attended Frederick Douglas Elementary School and Sasser Middle School. Most of his adult life he was a resident of Winchester, and worked as an automotive mechanic. He had a passion and love of old cars and trucks. He also spent countless hours on the computer, searching all sorts of old records and documents in an effort to put together the family ancestry tree. Surviving are three brothers, Bobby Deeds and wife Fay, of Hagerstown, MD, Johnny Newcomb and wife Brenda, of Suitland, MD, Terry Newcomb and wife Ramona, of Bassett, VA, and two sisters, Yvonne Bullington, of Richmond, VA and Pamela Newcomb, of Winchester, VA, also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Barry M. Deeds and Anthony E. Newcomb. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Rev. Dr. James S. Flora, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
