Catherine Irene Lininger

Mrs. Catherine Irene Lininger, age 71 of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the loving wife for 38 years of Bill Lininger. Born on May 13, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Paul and Elizabeth Ness.

Mrs. Lininger was employed for 36 years at Thomas Johnson High School. She loved being outside in her yard working on her flower gardens. She also enjoyed eating dinner out and shopping with her husband. They both also enjoyed traveling and went many places, including China twice. Most of all she loved her family and holiday gathering where she enjoyed cooking for the entire family.

In addition to her husband, she is also survived by 4 children, Deborah A. Harne and husband Larry, Charles D. Albright and wife Crystal, Larry W. Albright and wife Leslie, and Carroll D. Albright, Jr. and wife Debra. She was the grandmother of 6 and the great-grandmother of 1. She is also survived by her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by her special friend Hi Hong Guo (Tina.)

Friends will be received on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 7 to 9 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick where services will be held in the Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, June 20, 2011 at 10 AM. The Rev. Dr. Paul Mundey will officiate.
