Darlyne

Mrs. A. Darlyne Frye, 81, of Frederick, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born December 30, 1943 in Monrovia, she was the daughter of the late Clyde David Sr. and Virgie Main.

Darlyne started working at Routzahn's appliance store in the early 1970's. In the late 1970's she would start a career with Frederick Memorial Hospital as financial counselor and stayed in that position until her retirement in 2008.

She enjoyed family reunions, western movies, Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, and other classic country music . Her love of country music led to many trips to Williams Grove Amusement Park to attend concerts,

She is survived by her children, Dawn Archibald (Michael), Michael Frye (Angie), Craig Frye (Heylin) and Kevin Frye, grandchildren, Joel Archibald, Jessica Milin, Kylie Archibald and Nicholas Rodgers, numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlyne was preceded in death by siblings, Clyde David Main Jr., Robert Main Sr., Sam Main and Ellis Main.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm, on Monday, June 23, 2025 at Bush Creek Church of the Brethren, 4821 Green Valley Road, Monrovia, MD 21770. The funeral service will follow at noon. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Main, Dennis Main, Joel Archibald, Craig Frye, Kevin Frye and Michael Frye.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
