Mrs. Ann R. Farwell, 95, of Frederick passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Record Street Home. She was the wife of the late Robert Farwell.
Born April 28, 1930, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Hazel Swain Rowe.
Ann was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Academy in Washington DC and went on to work for the federal government for 45 years. In 1993, she retired to her beloved Frederick County where she gave to the community through her involvement at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church and as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
She enjoyed traveling, shopping with her daughters, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Richard Potter Jr., Julie Kaufmann (Arty) and Molly Buehn (Mark), daughters-in-law, Joan Potter and Margaret Potter, grandchildren, Chris Potter, Shelley Potter, Ben Lewis, Alex Kaufmann, Matt Kaufmann and Rosemarie Rollins and 3 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Morrissette, and sons, Michael Potter and Stephen Potter.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am, on Friday, December 19, 2025 at St. John's the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. 2nd Street, Frederick. Inurnment will follow at St. John's Cemetery.
