Betty Diane Reed

Betty "Diane" Bruchey Reed died peacefully on January 29, 2026 in Frederick, Maryland. She is the loving and devoted wife of Alton Lee Reed for 60 years. Diane was born on June 24, 1946 in Frederick, Maryland to the late Betty Lee Morgan (nee Clary) and the late John Bruchey. Diane married Alton Reed
and settled in Frederick to raise her loving children Lynda Reed Denny (Christopher, Sr.) and Jeffrey Reed (Jennifer)
In addition to her children, Diane is survived by her adoring grandchildren: Christopher Denny, Jr.(Elise), Nathan Denny, Michele Denny(Kyle), Justin Reed, and Jaimee Reed, R.N. Diane is great grandmother of Gavin Denny, William Beil and Easton Snead. Diane is survived by her siblings Wanda Deyton, Donna Federline and Sandy Smith.
Diane is predeceased by her late grandparents, Florida and Raymond Clary.
Diane would not wish to be forgotten by her devoted neighbors, many for over 36 years, in the Fingerboard Road area.
Diane worked tirelessly serving others. She served in various capacities at Watson's Restaurant, Dutch's Daughter and May's Restaurant. She loved to be in service to others.

Her passion was her family. You could not separate her from her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed attending local firemen's carnivals, 20/20 and Bingo.

Friends and relatives may visit on Sunday February 8 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A. 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701 where a funeral service will be held on Monday February 9 at 10:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Hwy. Frederick, MD. 21701.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring are encouraged to make memorial contributions to Frederick Health Hospice.
