Betty Lou Spangler

Ms. Betty L. Spangler, 90, of Frederick, Maryland went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born in Hagerstown, Maryland January 27, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Davis Clinton Moats and Katherine Elizabeth Moats (Snyder)

Ms. Spangler had been employed at Goodwill Industries in Frederick for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Frederick.

She had a great love of animals and old church hymns. She was also very well known for her color coordinated outfits.

Betty is survived by her niece Cindy Shelton and nephew Timmy O'Neal. She was predeceased by her brothers Earl Moats and Charles Moats and her very special sisters Doris O'Neal and Margarite Penwell. Betty truly appreciated all the community support and friends that helped her in the later years of her life.

Family and friends may call at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street Frederick, Maryland on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
