Beverly Howard Seidel

Beverly Howard Seidel, 95, passed away on May 18, 2025 at Somerford House/Place Frederick. Born 1929, the daughter of the late Henry Howard and Bertha Howard (Whitman). She grew up in Mousup CT. She was preceded in death by her husband George Seidel, daughter Pamela Seidel King, four brothers, Robert, Henry, John and Irving and one sister, Lilly Osgood.

Beverly graduated from Mousup High School and met her future husband George “Bud” Seidel while attending commercial college in Norwich CT. They were married In October 1948 and lived in the same house they built together in Taftville CT for 39 years until her husband’s passing. In 1987 Beverly moved to Southbury CT to be near her daughter’s family.

While living in Southbury she was very involved with the woman’s club at Heritage Village where she lived and participated in many charitable causes and organizations supporting the SW Connecticut area. Beverly remained at Heritage Village until 2016 when she moved to Frederick MD to be near her son Peter and his family. She lived in Spring Ridge senior living apartments and most recently at Somerford House/Place Assisted living facility. The family would like to thank the staff at Somerford for the care they provided Beverly.

Beverly is survived by her son Peter Seidel (Kathleen), grandchildren; Chris Seidel (Wendy), Kelly Seidel Scherer (Scott), Jeffrey Seidel, Brianna King (A. Mansfield), Arron King, and three great grandchildren, Arron King Mansfield., Paige Scherer and Hudson Scherer.
