C. David Fletcher

Mr. C. David Fletcher, 86, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 29, 1939 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Charles William and Blanche Virginia (Gordon) Fletcher.

David was a 1961 graduate of Brunswick High School. In his younger years, he worked at the bowling alley on S. Market Street setting up pins. He worked as a maintenance man for Woolco, North American Housing, and Fort Detrick. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and was an avid Nationals and Orioles fan. David was eager to lend assistance to a friend or neighbor in need. Over the past 6 years, he enjoyed bingo, musical activities and fellowshipping with his friends at Citizens. Most of all, David loved to share Jesus with others.

David is survived by several cousins and a nephew along with some close friends.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Fletcher, Sr.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Interment will follow at Brownsville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
