Mrs. Charlotte H. Roderick, 101, of Urbana, passed away on July 18, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Harry W. Roderick Sr.
Born October 12, 1923 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Dennis "Merhl" and Sadie Rice Shankle.
Charlotte was a devote Christian and member of the Bush Creek Church of the Brethren. She was an avid reader. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Carol Keyser (John), Harry "Ship" Roderick (Debbie) and Cheryl Fritz, son-in-law, Wayne McKenzie, grandchildren, Dawn Mossburg, Jeremy McKenzie (Amy), Matthew Keyser (Lorraine), Sarah Bishop, Jennifer Ginsburg (Chris), Stacie Roderick and EJ Fritz Jr. (Roxanne), numerous great-grandchildren and brother, Carlie Shankle.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan McKenzie, Nancy Roderick and Tom Roderick, son-in-law, Gene Fritz, brother, Bernard Shankle and sister, Sharon Mascoso.
The funeral and interment will be private in accordance with Charlotte's wishes.
