Frederick

Christopher Bruce Brown, 52, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at Frederick Health Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Baltimore on July 25, 1973, Chris lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and deep devotion to his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Erin Brown; his father, Bruce Brown; his late mother, Patrica Brown; his brother, Patrick Brown; his cherished niece, Justina Brown; and his stepchildren, Alyssa Lopez and M. Rhys Bail. He is also lovingly remembered by his birth mother, Kim Corkran; his half-sister, Jennifer Corkran; his niece, Khloe Staten; and dear friends Rickard Nawalsky and Corky Corkran.

Chris graduated from Middletown High School in 1991 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a specialization in business and administration management from Walden University. His professional journey took him across borders and industries—from serving as a civilian contractor at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, to working as a security alarm services specialist in Frederick, and later as an independent contractor at BWI Airport installing and managing security systems. Most recently, he served as a custodian at Blue Heron Elementary School, having previously worked at Butterfly Elementary, Spring Ridge Elementary, and the Hayward Central Office Buildings.

Chris was a kind, caring, funny, and good-hearted. He cherished time with his family and found joy in exploring new places—especially the Outer Banks (OBX), one of his favorite destinations. Over the years, he and Erin shared countless adventures and quiet moments that shaped a life full of laughter and love. They met 15 years ago, fell in love a year later, and built a bond that was both deep and enduring. This October would have marked their 12th wedding anniversary—a testament to the strength of their partnership and the warmth they brought to each other’s lives.

Chris’s jovial spirit and playful sense of humor brought joy to those around him. He was known for his gentle heart, his generosity, and his unwavering kindness. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
