Donna Moore, age 71, of Frederick, MD, passed away in hospice care at her twin sister's home in Hagerstown, MD. Donna was born in Chambersburg, PA, on January 23, 1954 and was the daughter of the late Michael R. Bulka and Alvera J. Cacciatore - Bulka.
Donna was a Bio Banker Specialist with Fisher Bio Services for 23 years. She retired in 2020. Donna was a fixture in downtown Frederick, having volunteered for many years with the Home for the Holidays Committee with which she served in many different capacities. In the mid 90's she was introduced to Greg Feeser who would become a devoted friend before he passed in 2021. After meeting Donna for the first time a mutual friend asked him his thoughts, he proudly exclaimed, "Donna ain't right!" Hence forward she was known affectionately as "Donna ain't right" amongst her closest friends, a moniker she proudly accepted and coveted for 30 years.
She was also an integral part of the beautification of the Carroll Creek project, donating time and energy in the planting of Water Lilies and and caring for them throughout the winter. The Carroll Creek Project committee wishes to thank Donna, "Queen of the Lilies" for her pizazz... her fur coats and her enthusiasm for boat rides. She helped to motivate everyone to come to the Creek, bundle up and help the kids get in and out of the boats. Safety always! Thank you for every Water Garden event on the Creek. Always helping and talking to people about the lilies, the Victorias, the lilies in the Greenhouse at Mount Olivet flourished thanks to your TLC. We love you and appreciate your passion of everything in nature.
Donna is survived by her twin sister Diane Cauffman (Rob), sisters Susan Patterson, Marsha Hays, Joanne Cagle (Steve Walzl), brothers Michael Bulka (Helen Grace) and Stephen Bulka. She is predeceased by her sister Linda Lougee (Mike) and brothers-in-law Mike Patterson and Jim Hays.
