Doris Eleanor Fields

Doris Eleanor Fields, of Reisterstown, who passed on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at the age of 89. Doris was born on August 8th, 1936, in Frederick, Maryland, and resided in Reisterstown, MD, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and vivacity.

Doris dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Registered Nurse for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health. She retired in 1991 after over 30 years of compassionate service, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and dedication.

A woman of many interests, Doris was an active member of the Moose Club and enjoyed attending dances at the VFW and Moose Club. She cherished crab feasts at the Coons Club and the Bucks Club and was an avid supporter of the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens. Her love for life extended to her farm, where she nurtured vegetables, flowers, and a variety of animals, including hummingbirds and foxes. Doris also treasured her vacations and shopping trips with her close friends, always bringing joy and laughter wherever she went.

Doris is survived by her loving son, Kenny Clingan, and his wife Jennie; her cherished niece and nephews, Terry Kehne, Ralph Kehne, and Mark Kehne; and her dear friends, Dannie Weis and her husband Barry, and Soozie McLain and her husband Earl, and her cherished Yorkie Cara. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas W. Kehne Jr. and Martha Virginia Kehne, as well as her brothers, Dick Kehne, Skeeter Kehne, and David Kehne, and her beloved pet Angel.

Doris will be remembered as the life of the party, a beacon of joy and warmth to all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Wednesday July 1, 2026 from 11am until the start of the funeral service at 12pm. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Doris's memory to a charity of your choice. Doris Eleanor Fields will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
