Ellsworth Eugene Beachley born July 10, 1942, died November 23, 2025.
Ellsworth Eugene Beachley, 83, from Brunswick, MD, passed peacefully from this life at Frederick Health Hospital after a short battle with brain and lung cancer on November 23, 2025.
He was born in Frederick, Maryland at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Franklin and Ethel (Baugher) Beachley. Gene was the loving husband of Florence (Smith) Beachley. They were married on February 3, 1960.
Gene had several jobs in his lifetime. He was a retired construction worker. He loved his cigars and chew.
He enjoyed going to flea markets and yard sales an also enjoyed camping at Williams Grove every Labor Day Weekend. He would relax by taking care of his fish and birds. He also loved spending time and Neal's Garage. He was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ravens.
He is survived by his kids Nancy Darr (mooch), Richard Beachley, Frank Beachley (Christel), Jeff Beachley, Jennifer Travis (Bunky), his siblings Connie (Wallie) Kenny, Dale (Lanie), Donald (Teresa) and Bob. Pappy Gene will be missed by all his grandkids and great grandkids, Stacey (Cliffy), Josie, Maddy, Mason, Terri, Meaghan, Jason, Jordan, Bre, Conner Beachley, Andrew, Ashton, Kimmy (Chad), Conner Cooper, Jeffrey Jr., Ricky (Sarah), Stephanie (Dan), Michael (Angie), Nick, Adalee, Amanda, Trey, Maliyah, Jeff Kline (Kate), Braycen, Joe-Joe (Caitlin), Bub, Addison, Andy, Ayden, Nathen, Bentley, Brian (Alisha), Bella, Wes, Delilah, Lucas, Sawyer, Lorelie, Hendrix, Bruce (Bethany), Remi, Miley, Greyson, Ashley (Darian), Georgia, Carolina, Lee, Virginia, James (Jordan). Pappy will also be remembered by Chloe, Jesse and Charlotte.
Gene was preceded in death by his sisters Kay Burker and Irene Long, sisters-in-law Jenny Boone, Bonnie Hunter, Marsha New and Mary Beachley, brothers-in-law Wayne Boone, Butch Linton and Robert Long. his daughter Jeannie Beachley, son Joey Beachley and grandkids Sammy Divel, Zoey Beachley Derrick Beachley, Silas Beachley and also nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD.
