Ever so gently and peacefully, Enid Wallace (Siley) passed into the presence of Jesus at her home in Frederick, Maryland, USA on the morning of February 14, 2026.
Born in Annotto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica to Claudius Marshall and Ellen Merrick, Enid was one of nine siblings namely: Lydia, Adelin, Gertel Adina, Cicline Maud, Melvina, George, James and Stafford, all of whom predeceased her.
Enid was married to Kenneth Windsor Wallace in 1952 for 44 yrs, until he passed in 1997. They were real partners in taking care of us children, doing business in our father’s tailor establishment together, serving as ushers in National Conventions for Church of God of Prophecy, serving and hosting hundreds of members of the church for Conventions and Bible Training Institute (for more than 10 years) many of whom became outstanding ministers of the gospel in Jamaica and around the world. She also served as an usher in her local church at Maxfield Avenue for many years.
Siley lived a life of service to God by serving others both in the church and community but her major area of service and dedication was to her eight children. She migrated to the United States in 1991 and lived a hectic life in New York where she quickly adapted to that very different life, then she moved to Maryland in 2008, where she remained until her passing. In the US, Siley connected with former church members and continued her life of service. She also became a member of the International Community Church in Frederick Maryland until her passing on February 14, 2026. It was Siley's joy to welcome her adult children and grandchildren to join her in the States over the years. She loved having family around her.
Siley is survived by her children Delores, Olive, Kenneth (Tony), Earl, Phillip, Eric, Linnette and Owen. Sons-in-law: Owen Walters, Errol Thompson, Harold Bell; Daughters-in-law Donna, Terry, Janet, Lorene, Diana, Nekeihma and Juliana. She was grandmother to twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her many nieces and nephews will remember fondly.
We love you Siley, Mama, Grandma, Granny, Auntie, Cousin Enid, Aunt Enid. You have left us great legacies. We will remember you forever.
