Evelyn Marie Lutz

Evelyn Mavros Lutz, lovingly known as Yia Yia, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on January 19, 1960, in Hanover Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Gladys Mavros, who instilled in her the values of faith, family, and resilience. She was 65 years old.

Evie devoted her life to her family, raising her son with unwavering love and support. She was known for her warmth, humor, and the way she made everyone feel welcome at her table. Her strength and kindness were a guiding light to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Michael Lutz, son Zack Lutz, Daughter in-law Piet Lutz. Her Grand children Analia, Sylas, Tylan, Jaydon, great grand children Isla, Ivy, her brother Nick Mavros and his wife Heather Mavros and all other friends and family blessed to know her. Her love and legacy lives on through them.

Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

Funeral services will be held at Saint Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 920 W. 7th Street, Frederick, Maryland on Tuesday, September 9th. Viewing starts at 10am and Funeral service starts at 11am.
