Floyd William Haines

Mr. Floyd W. Haines, 90, of Boonsboro, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. He was the husband of the late Jean L. Haines, who preceded him in death in 2020.

Born August 5, 1935 in Boyds, he was the son of the late Emory and Gladys (Clingan) Haines.

Floyd was a car enthusiast. He was member of the Mid Maryland Ford Club. He served his country in the US Army and retired from Safeway Grocery Store. Most of all, he adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons, Allan Haines and wife Gerri and Robert Haines fiancee Donna Hesse, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Floyd was preceded in death by son, William Coyle, grandson, Brandon Haines and sister, Barb Stull and brother, Emory Haines, Jr. and 2 twin sisters, Esther and Estelle.

The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm, on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday, March 30, 2026 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
