Gerald Lee Miller, 81, affectionately called Jerry, gently left this world on May 12, 2025 at his home, Born on April 5, 1944 in Frederick. Jerry, a man with a calm faith, drew strength from his Christian beliefs throughout his life.
In his early years, Jerry proudly served in the National Guard, showing his dedication to his country. Later, he found his true passion in carpentry, devoting many years to his craft and leaving behind a beautiful legacy through his work.
A devoted husband to his wife, Bonnie, Jerry raised seven children, showcasing his love for family in every way. Known for his gentle and caring nature, he brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. He never spoke harshly of anyone and treasured the good times shared with family and friends.
Jerry found great joy in keeping his truck in pristine condition, delighting in making it shine. He also loved attending yard sales with Bonnie, relishing in those shared moments. His passion for football was unmistakable, and he always made time to watch his favorite games.
Jerry leaves behind his beloved wife, Bonnie Miller, and his seven children, Debra Lynn Miller Crummitt and her partner, Bradley E. Keefer, Jr., Donna Jean Rogers and her husband, Richard Rogers, Daile Lea Miller Presley and her husband, Jasper Presley, William (Billy) Tyeryar and his wife Cathy Tyeryar, Charles (Tommy) Tyeryar and his wife Toshia Tyeryar, Sherry Lynn Rippeon and her husband Paul Rippeon, and Shelly Marie Burtner and her husband James Burtner, He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, along with his sister, Nancy Ahalt, and her husband, Larry Ahalt. Jerry's legacy of love and kindness will continue to thrive through his family. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Miller.
Family and friends can gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Tuesday May 20, 2025 from 12pm until the start of the funeral service at 1pm. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. Everyone is invited to gather at the AMVETS Post 2, 702 E South St, Frederick, MD 21701 after the burial.
