Grace Elizabeth Schroyer, 87, of Frederick passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter & son-in-law on May 11th, 2025. Born August 17th, 1937, in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of Harvey Theodore and Bessie Roletta (Stoneberger) Derflinger.
Grace was married twice, first to Maurice White Jr. and later to Delmas Schroyer Sr.
Grace worked at Price Electric, Morgan’s Restaurant, & Golden Dipt Company. Her later years were dedicated to her family and home. She enjoyed hosting Sunday dinners for her large family, game shows, soap operas, and attending yard sales. Grace was especially close to her mother, Bessie, whom she spoke to every day until her death in 2016. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Grace was a firm woman, notorious for her headstrong personality and sharp tongue, she was never afraid to speak her mind.
Grace is survived by her daughters; Venus White Redmond (Ricky), Crystal Vignali (Drew), & Nicole VanBibber (Mark). Grandchildren; Glori Graczkowski (Scott), Christine Trent (Joey), Cindy Schroyer, Celeste Nabors, Jennifer Gargana (Tim), Jaysen Cochran (Rose), Taylor Johnson (David), Lacey Cochran, Justin Hope (Amber), Hannah Hope (Eric), Skilar Jones-Baker (Brendan), & Kennady Culican (Diallo). Sisters; Gloria Deener (Donnie) & Dorothy Guarnaccia; as well as several great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
In addition to her beloved parents & husbands, Grace was preceded in death by children; George Schroyer, Delmas Schroyer Jr., Markwood Schroyer, & Candace Cochran. Grandson; Heath Schroyer; brother-in-law Sal Guarnaccia; & daughter-in-law Bonnie Schroyer.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm, on Monday, May 19, 2025 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
