Joyce Norma Marsh

Joyce Norma (Carpenter) Marsh passed away at the age of 84. She was born in Sayre, PA, August 22, 1941.

After graduating from high school, she joined the U.S. Navy. She was assigned to Naval Security Station in Washington, D.C. where she met George Edward Marsh, with whom she married and raised a family. They shared 25 blessed years before George passed away in 1986.

Joyce worked tirelessly as a CNA for over 25 years. She would retire from Citizens Nursing Home. She had amazing respect, compassion, and love for every life that she touched.

Joyce is survived by three sons, Thomas (Karen), Jeff, and Jamie Marsh, five grandchildren, Christopher, Waylon, Christina, Peter, and Asia Marsh, and 3 great-grandchildren, Sadie, Georgia, and Laney Marsh.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Sunday July 26, 2026 from 2pm until the start of the funeral service at 5pm. A graveside service will take place on Monday July 27, 2026 at 2pm at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, 14205 Pleasant Valley Road NE, Flintstone, MD 21530.
