Kelly Harmon passed away recently after a long, courageous battle with addiction. She was a daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend who will be remembered for the vibrant, loving, and happy girl she truly was at her core. Kelly loved to dance, possessed a naturally joyful spirit, and loved to show off her talents and personality, lighting up the room whenever she could.
Though Kelly was estranged for several years as she fought her illness, her family never stopped loving her, and she never stopped loving them. Despite the painful distances and leaving her children at a young age, her love for them was fierce, enduring, and deep. Her family holds tightly to the memories of her bright energy, her laughter, and the beautiful, lively moments they shared before her disease took hold.
She is survived by her devoted parents, Donna, Richard, and bonus dad Thomas; her beloved children, Devin, Gabrielle, Kenny, and Ryan; and her precious granddaughter, Mae, who brought a spark of joy to the family legacy. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Katie (Orlando) and Kendall (Mike); her bonus sisters, Kelly (Kelly) and Lisa (Jason); and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
Kelly is now at peace, freed from the struggles that defined her later years, and wrapped in the comfort of eternal rest.
The family hopes that Kelly’s struggle will serve as a reminder to others fighting addiction that they are loved, and urges anyone in need of help to reach out for support.
A memorial service is being planned, and the family will share details once they are finalized. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to BrookesHouse.org, https://brookeshouse.org/donate/ a non-profit addiction treatment center, in honor of Kelly.
