Larry Melvin Oden

Larry M. Oden, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Aug. 6th 2025 at Frederick Health Hospital.
He was born on July 11,1941 in Frederick, MD the son of the late Melvin P. Oden and Belva A. Warrenfeltz. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Donna.
Larry graduated from Frederick High School class of 1959. He was a 3rd generation Brick Mason. Larry worked on residential and commercial jobs in the Frederick and surrounding areas. He was very proud to have designed and built many brick and stone patios, fireplaces, and garden areas. He was a member of Centennial Memorial United Methodist Church and honored to have been selected to remove and restore the cornerstone of the church. He was also a member of The Elks Lodge #684 and the Frederick County Farm Bureau.
In addition to his wife he is survived by daughter Laurie Saunders of Frederick, daughter Wendy Wright and husband Kelly of Cherry Valley, NY, daughter Shanda Oden of Frederick and daughter Jamie Mann and husband Wesley of Frederick, grandson Trevor Wright of Cherry Valley, NY, granddaughter Jenna Wright of Buffalo, NY, and brother Darryl Oden of Frederick.
There will be a private graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.keeneybasford.com
