Linda Mann

Linda Carol (Hope) Mann, 79, of Frederick, Maryland passed away at home on Sunday, July 19, 2026. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, William L. Mann.

Born on February 6, 1947 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Forrest Kuhlmann and Ellen Marguerite (Rust) Hope.

Family was the center of Linda’s life and brought her so much happiness. Linda is survived by two daughters, Jaime L. Sloan and husband Andrew of Louisville and Mendie S. Gift and husband Toby of Frederick; one sister Bonnie S. Eilertson and husband John of Georgia; and four grandchildren Hunter S. Gift, Adrianna M. Gift, Lauren A. Sloan and Lindsey K. Sloan.

Linda graduated from Frederick High School with the Class of 1965. She went on to work as a secretary for the National Bureau of Standards, retiring after 25 years. Prior to her retirement, she received a Bronze Medal for exemplary performance.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 10:30 AM on Friday, July 24 at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD. 21701. The funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Leesburg, Virginia.
