Loretta Virginia Pilson

On August 18, 2026, the Lord called Loretta Virginia (Hawkins) Pilson home to His Kingdom and her husband, Donald L. Pilson, Sr.

She was born in Leesburg, Virginia on June 9, 1939, to Arbie and Polly Hawkins.

She is survived by her sister Betty Brandenburg, her 3 children; Don Jr. (Sharron), Kathy and Laurie, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Her life was caring for her children, helping her husband's masonry business and totally faithful to her church, Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday s=School for 20+ years. She had many friends and enjoyed writing letters all the time.

Family and friends may gather at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701 on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will commence at 12:00 P.M. with interment following at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Donald’s name to the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 3425 Green Valley Rd, Ijamsville, MD 21754.
