Louis Randolph Horman, age 83, passed away at home on September 3, 2026. Randy was born on March 21, 1943, in Damascus Maryland, son of George and Helen Horman (Scott).
He lived in Frederick and worked For Shenandoah Plastics Corporation and the Department of Energy until retiring in 2010. He was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant and was awarded the Distinguished Career Service Award from the Department of the Environment.
Randy was a member of St Luke's Lutheran Church in Feagaville.
Randy was an avid hunter and spent many weekends hunting in the woods and fields around Frederick County. He hunted annually for whitetail deer in the forests of Northern Pennsylvania and, in most recent years, Somerset County Pennsylvania. Many of his fondest stories were about his time in the woods and the Hunting Camps.
Randy is survived by His wife Marylou, Children Daniel (wife Robin), Adam (wife Candace), and George (wife Jackie). Randy was preceded in death by his parents George and Helen Horman, and his sister Dawn E. Horman, Grandchildren Shelby Horman, Hunter Horman, Skylar Horman, Devon L. Southard, and Griffin Vizina.
Visitation will be held on September 9, 2026, from 5pm – 7pm at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home in Frederick, MD. Private Service and Burial will be at St Luke's Cemetery in Feagaville on September 10, 2026.
Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Louis R. Horman to St Luke's Cemetery Association, 5463 Jefferson Pike Frederick, MD 21703.
