Margaret Pearson Fawley Everly, 86, of Frederick, MD, passed Friday, January 12th surrounded by her family at Frederick Health Hospital. Born in Adamstown, MD, on August 30, 1937 to the late Joseph B. and Dorothy V. (Moxley) Pearson. She was the beloved wife of David E. Everly.
Margaret grew up on a farm in Jefferson. After graduating from Frederick High School in 1955, she stayed home to raise her four children until the early 70s when she went to work at Weis Markets. She later started her career in payroll at the Montgomery County Public School system which she continued with the Loudon County Public School system until her retirement in 2000. Once retired she moved to Florida but eventually came back to Maryland to be closer to her growing family.
Margaret enjoyed trips to the beach, especially Florida’s Sanibel Island, where she spent her time gathering seashells. She loved being around her family and making memories. She will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children; David Fawley, Carol Tull (Joe), and Rick Fawley (Sarah), her grandchildren Becky Main (Keith), Michael Fawley, Jr. (Jamie), Jessica Tull (Danny Noffsinger), Andrew Tull (Jamie), Logan Fawley, and Matthew Fawley. As well as her siblings; Patricia Sunday (Paul), Shirley Thompson, and Sam Pearson. And also her step-children; Vicky Bonner (John), Bruce Everly, Brenda Jones and step-grandchildren; Melissa, Nathan, Jordan, Braeden, Ashton, Garrett, and Taylor. Others include her sister-in-law Gail Pearson, close family friend Vickie Cupp, Sheri Ann Bailey, Step daughter-in-law Julie Everly, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by, her former husband David Eugene Fawley, her son Michael Fawley, her brother Joseph Pearson, brother-in-law Joe Thompson, daughter-in-law Carol (Petie) Flohr, and step son-in-law Rick Jones.
Special thanks to the staff from Visiting Angels and Country Meadows Nursing Memory Care Facility for helping to provide care during her last few years of life.
Family and friends can gather at the Jefferson Ruritan Center, 4603-B Lander Road, Jefferson, Maryland 21755, on February 3, 2024 at 4pm for a celebration of Margaret’s life.
