Mary Louise Albaugh

Mrs. Mary Louise Albaugh, 88, of Crestwood Village Frederick, passed away on October 15, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Donald Albaugh for more than 68 years.

Born March 24, 1938 in Silver Run, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Pauline Strevig.

Mary Louise graduated from Westminster High School in 1956. She then attended and graduated from Martinsburg Beauty School in Martinsburg, WV.

Donald and Mary Louise were married on June 28, 1958, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church in Silver Run, MD. They joined Evangelical Lutheran Church in 1970 where they are members to this day. For many years she taught and played the piano for Sunday School, helped in the church nursery, and was a member of the altar guild team for church services and funerals.

Mary Louise began her career as a beautician at the Francis Scott Key Hotel and then owned and operated her own hair salon in their Frederick home for over 40 years. She enjoyed collecting new recipes from her customers and preparing them for her family. She loved hosting family dinners. For over 12 years, Mary Louise and Donald were blessed to be able to travel and visit all 50 states.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Pamela Crone and husband Michael, daughter-in-law, Rev. Karin Albaugh. In addition are her grandchildren: Tyler Crone and wife Tristen, Nicole Harrison and husband Will, Cory Albaugh and wife Hannah, Heather Straley, Michele Gregg and husband Kenan and Jamie Albaugh and fiancée Jake Kaufman; her great- grandchildren: Teddy Albaugh, Jovey and Garrett Harrison. She is also survived by her brother, Barry Strevig, and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Louise was preceded in death by her beloved son, Todd Albaugh in 2021.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Tuesday October 20, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm. A Funeral service will be held at Evangelical Lutheran Church, 31 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701 on Wednesday October 21, 2026 at 11am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro.
