Michael Bernard Tobin, 75, of Walkersville, Maryland, passed away on December 4, 2025.
Born on October 19, 1950, in Homer, New York, Mike was the son of the late Lt. Col. Bernard Tobin and Anna-Jean McClusky Tobin. He was the devoted husband of Cheryl Tereshuk Tobin, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. Together they raised three children and built a life centered on love, family, and faith.
In addition to his beloved wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Tobin and Kimberly Tobin; his grandsons, Carl and Caleb; his cousin, Sharon Hollenbeck; and many cherished cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Mike spent his early years in rural upstate New York before living abroad in Asia with his family for several years. He had a lifelong love of the outdoors and found great joy in gardening, camping, hunting, fishing, crabbing, and exploring nature. Whether tending his garden or sharing an outdoor adventure, Mike loved spending time with those he cared about and creating lasting memories.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter, Jamie Mae Tobin; his grandmother, Minnie Tobin; and many treasured cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of Mt. Airy Full Gospel Church, 13949 Penn Shop Road, Mt. Airy, Maryland 21771.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
