Pamela Faye Beachley

May 7, 1950 — May 6, 2026

Frederick

Pamela Faye Beachley, age 75, life-long Frederick resident, passed away peacefully on May 6 , 2026 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown.

Born on May 7, 1950, in Frederick, she was the loving daughter of the late Park A. Beachley and Katherine R. Beachley.

Pam was active at Buckeystown United Methodist Church and later at Araby United Methodist Church, helping teach Children’s Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and preparing food for church functions especially her hot beef, meatballs, and chicken corn soup

Pam was a very caring, giving, and helpful person to family, neighbors, and friends. With a memory like no other, Pam was excellent at recalling names, places, and past events, especially family relationships and genealogy. Known for her hardy laugh, sense of humor and her genuine friendliness, she would strike up a conversation with anyone, whether it be in the grocery store, walking the dog, or in a doctor’s office waiting room.

For many years, Pam would often be found helping at a local produce stand, pumpkin patch, and a Christmas tree farm. She was an avid knitter, and spent many years making bedroom slippers, baby blankets and prayer shawls, oftentimes giving those as gifts or to those in need.

Pam was an animal lover, especially dogs!!!! Most of her life she had a chihuahua and it saddened her when she transitioned to assisted living because she could no longer keep her beloved dog. Additionally, she knew every neighborhood dog by name.

She was always feeding the birds and squirrels top notch bird seed – not the run of the mill stuff, and when the feeders would get low, she would say, “Well it’s time to feed the livestock.”

Pam learned to drive later in life. After that, it was hard to keep her home because she was always on the road and on the go.

Pam lived a life full of love, family, friendship, and laughter. She was greatly loved and will be extremely missed.

She is survived by her cousins, Delores Neal, Howard Strine, Bonnie Strine, Eddie Bell, Carol McIntyre, and Ralph Beachley; and many additional extended family members and friends.

She was predeceased by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her dear friends, Laura Gray, Charlotte Mayne, and Fran Phebus.

The family would like to thank all the caring staff at Meritus Medical Center and Doey’s House for their comfort and support during this difficult time.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
