Patricia L Brown

Mrs. Patricia Layman Brown, 90, of Frederick, died Saturday, October 31, 2026, with her loving family surrounding her.

Born October 19, 1936, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Delmas Miller and Margaret Estelle Layman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Conley Weldon “Jack” Brown, in July 1988.

Mrs. Brown worked at Everedy Company until its closing in 1977 and later at Treeland Nurseries until her retirement in 2012. Both businesses were located in Frederick. She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church, Frederick.

She is survived by three sons, Gregory A. Brown and wife Jamie, Keith W. Brown and wife Angie, and Douglas W. Brown and wife Susan; one brother, Larry W. Layman and Suzanne of Millersville; seven grandchildren, Keisha Brown (Kevin Warner), Dustin Brown, Karlea Brown Orrison (Christopher), Lindsey Brown, Alena Brown (Peter Romeo), Erin Zeigler (Jonas), and Bailee Brown (Shane McLaughlin); five great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Archer Orrison, Greylee and Greer Zeigler, and Liam Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 9, from 10 a.m. to noon at Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, immediately followed by a funeral service at noon. Pastor Kim Hintzman will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Brown, Shane McLaughlin, Christopher Orrison, Peter Romeo, Kevin Warner, and Jonas Zeigler.
