Patricia Feiler St. Jean, 77, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2025, following a long illness.
Born July 13, 1948, Pat is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, David Filipiak; her son, Shawn St. Jean, and his wife Jennifer; granddaughters Abby and Emma St. Jean; her sister Susan Nyden and husband Marc; and nieces Rachel Gassert and Michelle Green. She was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Carole Feiler.
Pat was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Framingham, Massachusetts, where she was a graduate of Framingham North High School. She later settled in Marlboro, Massachusetts, where she was married to David St. Jean from 1977 to 1994, and where her son Shawn was raised. In 1994 she relocated to Washington DC, followed by a move to Maryland, where she met her husband David Filipiak, and spent the rest of her life.
Pat had a decades-long career in human resources for commercial real estate companies, most recently as the Executive Director of Administration for a DC-based firm, up until her retirement in August 2014.
As a breast cancer survivor, Pat spent her free time volunteering with other women battling the disease, always acting as an inspiration and a pillar of strength for those in her community. Pat was proud of her roots in the Northeast and had a love for the beaches of Cape Cod. She could often be found reading a book, preparing a brisket, or adding to her wall of family photos, which she cherished.
More than anything else, Pat was devoted to her family. She would regularly travel from Maryland to Connecticut to visit her son and daughter-in-law and her granddaughters, never missing a life event of theirs, big or small.
The family will hold a memorial service at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation in Pat's name (liverfoundation.org).
