Phyliss Carol Betson

Phyliss Carol Betson (nee Nininger) 78, died peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Doey's House, Hagerstown, Maryland. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, the late Casper Frost Betson, Jr. and her late parents, Shem Carlis Nininger, Jr. and the late Shirley L. Wright.

Phyliss is survived by her loving children Michael Frost Betson (Kanda), Richard Carlis Betson (Sharon), and Shelby Diane Marsden (Kyle). She is the adoring grandmother of Ryan Betson, Cody Betson (Kayla), Cheyenne Van (Peter), Stephen Marsden (Tina), Quinn Marsden, Chance Marsden, and Aiden Marsden. She is the proud great grandmother of Alyssa Heil and Peyton Marsden. On the Nininger family side, she is survived by her sister Nancy Fowler (Paul) and brother Glenn Nininger (Mary) and well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes, P.A., 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, Maryland 21701. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment immediately following at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick. MD. 21701.
