On June 25, 2026, Robert “Bobby" Franklin Sweeney, 70, passed away after a lengthy illness. He was born October 24, 1955, in Frederick, Maryland. He was pre-deceased by his father and mother, Robert and Gladys Sweeney.
He was a 1973 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School. He was employed at several different businesses in and around Frederick – Patapsco and Frederick Electronics to name a few. When he wasn't building computers or designing some complicated electronic gadget, you could find him on Main Street, USA at Walt Disney World, his home away from home.
Bobby is survived by immediate family and dear friends, who will sorely miss him: Ric Sweeney & David Askew, Gary & Jo Avers, Sarah-Anne Avers, Rob Avers, Dawn & Bill Crabill, and Walt & Sandy Staruk. A special hug to his angel in a nurse's uniform, Diane.
All services for Bobby will be private.
