Steven "Todd" Sams, 53, of Sharpsburg, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026 at his home.
Born November 21, 1972 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late John and Joyce Sams.
Todd will be remembered for his sense of humor, making people laugh. Todd had a special way to light up the room and the willingness to help anyone in need. He loved camping and fishing with friends and family, also a die hard Ravens and Orioles fan, loved talking about and watching his teams play. He was an avid Bingo player. He was preceded in death by brother William "Billy" Sams and John "Johnny" Sams.
Todd was survived by his step-father; Charles. "Papa Chuck" Bittinger, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be especially remembered by his Uncle William "Bill" Philpott and Wife Linda. And will be remembered by his life long partner Robert Horner.
The family will receive friends from 12-3 pm on Sunday May 3, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick.
A celebration of life will be held following the viewing at Lewistown Social Club, 10540 Putman Road, Thurmont, MD 21788.
