Ms. Sylvia L. Springer, 82, of Frederick, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at her residence.
Born April 3, 1944 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Phelps) Hart.
Sylvia graduated from FHS Class of 1962 with Facit Award as One of Fifty Top Typist. She was lifelong member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. She worked as a secretary for East Coast Relay, State Farm Insurance, Dewey Jordan, Inc., Law Offices of Edwin F. Nikirk, II and Law of Offices of Arthur C. Crum, Jr. She was involved in Animal (Cat) Rescue for 50 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed to read, bake, and can food.
Sylvia is survived by her daughter; Barbara Johnson, grandson, Tyler Johnson and fiancée and family, niece, Melinda Vaughn and husband Tracy, nephews, JT, Jack, Connor and Ottie, nieces, Jenny and Frankie. She leaves behind her beloved pets.
She was preceded in death by son, Robert Springer, son-in-law, Kurtis Johnson, sister, Brenda Shoemaker and nephew, Marty Geiser.
The funeral service will be private.
