Thomas J. Dominik died on December 19, 2025, at his home in Frederick, Maryland. Born on November 25, 1959, he was the son of Patricia Ann Dominik (nee Blumenauer) and the late Joseph Walter Dominik.
Tom graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in 1977. After receiving an Associate of Arts degree from Frederick Community College, Tom attended and then graduated from Mount St. Mary’s College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business finance. In 1988, Tom received a M.B.A. degree from Frostburg State University. During his career, Tom held various sales and management positions at J.C. Penny Co. He retired from Dunbar Armored, Inc. after serving many years as a crew chief at Maryland locations.
Tom was a sports enthusiast. He was an avid tennis player during his high school and college years and enjoyed playing golf. He was a lifelong fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Colts, and Baltimore Ravens. Tom enjoyed landscaping and being outdoors, especially spending time at the Maryland beaches in the summer.
Tom is survived by his mother Patricia A. Dominik of Frederick, Maryland; sisters Judith P. Mellor of Frederick, Maryland and Cynthia A. Dominik of Vero Beach, Florida; niece Megan P. Mellor of Frederick, Maryland; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Joseph W. Dominik.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 11:00 a. m. in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 118 E. Second Street, Frederick, MD. 21701. Interment immediately following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 515 S. Market Street, Frederick, MD. 21701.
