Mr. William "Bill" Philpott, 73, of Frederick, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026 . He was the the loving husband of Linda Philpott.
Born January 27, 1953 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Stephen Philpott and Anna Cornett Anderson.
Bill proudly served in the US Army for 23 years even inspiring his nephew, Michael Ball to enlist. He was an avid fisherman and bingo fan. He was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, Moose, FOE Eagles, Red Men's and Lewistown Social Club.
In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children; Candy Philpott, Hazel Philpott Reeves, William "Billy" Philpott and Steven Philpott, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren, siblings, David, Danny, Johnny, Brenda, Carol and Linda, numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Bob and Joyce.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 7pm, on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick. The funeral service will be held at 11am, on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be share to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
