William Henry Wolfe (Billy), 91, of Poolesville, MD and Harpers Ferry, WV passed away on 09, September 2025 at Frederick Crossing.
William (Billy) was born in Garret Park, MD on March 23, 1934 to the late Harold Newton Wolfe, Sr. and the late Ellen (Mulligan) Wolfe. William did not graduate from high school, but went onto serve in the Army Medical Corp. On 10th, November 1961 William married his wife Alice Darlene (Carter) Wolfe.
After existing the Army Medical Corp, William began his work history as an asphalt laborer for his wife's uncle, Sammy Parks. Many years later he took over the ownership and operations of Park Paving, until he retired and passed the business to his son Kevin E. Wolfe.
In addition to William's reputation for his work ethic, he is known for his love and commitment to Coon hunting where he has held the Maryland State, Virginia State and the US Championship titles for several years. William was also known as being the first person to use a mule for Coon hunting.
William and Alice both enjoyed time spent with their son Kevin Wolfe and Sandra Morrison, their extended family and close friends.
William is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Ellen Bonifant and Barbara Wolfe and his brothers Harold Wolfe and Robert Wolfe. William is survived by wife Alice Darlene (Carter) Wolfe of Frederick, MD; his son Kevin E. Wolfe and Sandra S. Morrison of Harpers Ferry, WV; in addition to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
The family will have a visitation at Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes the 15th of September, 2025. Viewing will be at 10:00 AM and the Service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Darnestown Presbyterian Cemetery, Darnestown.
