Zara Muradyan, born in Yerevan Armenia, immigrated to US and lived primarily in Maryland. She had a passion for art and beauty and pursued art in her education. She completed her Bachelor's and Masters in Art and education in Armenia and Italy.
Upon moving to the United States in 2010, Zara began creating her own commercial textiles and hand-drawn batik work.
She had become a very powerful and unique artist with many acclaimed pieces and some of her work was displayed at several exhibitions.
She lived a happy and full life despite fighting cancer for a decade; she fought daily with power of laughter and love that she shared with her daughter and her husband as well as her extended family. She saw beauty and art in the world around her despite the pain and daily struggles.
She will continue to live in the memories of her loved one, as a strong and loving mother, and to her admirers as a talented and unique artist.
The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm, on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12pm.
