Patricia Ann Hildebrandt

December 11, 1959 — January 20, 2024

Patricia Ann Hildebrandt, age 64, of Frederick, MD passed away on January 20, 2024 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Barnhouse Sr. and Audrey P. Barnhouse, and sister Mary A. Barnhouse. Patricia is survived by brothers Robert E. Barnhouse Jr., Charles C. Barnhouse (Donna); sisters Peggy A. Beachley and Nancy L. Defina; nephews William Beachley Jr., Robert M. Barnhouse and Michael Lawson; nieces Jessica Crouse, Colleen Barnhouse and Erin Barnhouse; Grand-niece Audrey Crouse; Grand-nephew Mason Sexton; and her extended family in Texas, June Barnhouse. Patricia was born December 11, 1959 and grew up in Adamstown, MD. While growing up on a farm, she enjoyed helping with the animals and tending the vegetable and flower gardens. She named every animal on the farm and was very fond of her three pet geese, which had their own swimming pool. At an early age she was interested in science, astrology, the arts and loved taking care of animals. These interests stayed with her throughout her life. Patricia graduated from Frederick High School. During her early adult years, she had a career in restaurant management in Maryland and Texas. Later in life, she changed careers to work with Chase Bank in Frederick, MD as an Administrative Assistant. She excelled in this position and especially enjoyed planning special events, such as holiday parties and team building activities for all employees. After Patricia's retirement from Chase, she went back to school to earn her associates degree in medical assisting. This was something she was very proud of. Patricia was a creative and gifted artist and seamstress. She could create works of arts with anything; pencils, paint, markers, clay or rocks. It was truly a gift and beauty was reflected in anything she created. She was known for sending holiday or birthday cards filled with confetti to family and friends, bringing smiles and joy to the recipient. Over the years, she adopted several cats who were spoiled beyond words. She lived a simple life and enjoyed family gatherings, the beach, going to carnival, playing bingo and baking. She loved taking adventures to the cabin and Willow Valley with her niece Jessica and Grand-niece Audrey. Patricia was a quiet and gentle person willing to share words of encouragement and advice when needed. "Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we will miss you, until we meet again." The family will honor Patricia's request to be cremated and the interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederick Health Hospice or The Frederick County Humane Society.
