Ryan Geiger

Manager/Licensed Funeral Director

Ryan grew up in Frederick and graduated from Gov. Thomas Johnson High school in 2000. In 2004, he graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in history and minor in business administration. He completed his mortuary science degree in 2010. Ryan enjoys golf and long distance running in his spare time. He is a member of Connection Church in Middletown. He lives in Myersville with his wife; Krista, and sons; Jameson and Patrick.

Steve Hackmer

Licensed Funeral Director

Steve has been a licensed funeral director since 2013. He is a graduate of the Community College of Baltimore County. Having served families across Maryland, he returned to Frederick in 2016. Steve was raised and currently resides in Frederick County.

David Weber, CFSP, CCO

Licensed Funeral Director

David is a respected mortician with more than 40 years of licensure and almost 50 years working in funeral service. He earned the title of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner in 1992 and his Certified Crematory Operator certification in 2014. David has chaired and served on numerous committees with both the Maryland State Funeral Directors Association (MSFDA) and the National Funeral Directors Association NFDA), including as a Media Spokesperson of MSFDA for more than 15 years. David served as President of MSFDA in 1999-2000 and 2014-2015.

David also worked as an inspector and sub-contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense Mortuary Inspection Team from 2014-2019. He has assisted Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, NIOSH and NFDA with studies on Tuberculosis Research, and Blood Borne Pathogens as they relate to funeral service professionals. David is trained as a responder in Mass Fatalities and has worked on response protocols, procedures and concerns on both state and federal levels with various agencies. David has one daughter and two grandchildren.

John Reitz

Licensed Funeral Director

John joined our team in 2023 after a career of 41 years in all facets of the funeral service profession; mortician, crematory operator, cemeterian, management, professional consultant and mentor to countless college interns in Maryland, Northern Virginia and our nation’s capital. He is licensed to practice in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

When not serving the bereft, he spends his off hours restoring and showing antique tractors, gardening, fishing, hunting and spoiling his granddaughters. He is a member of the Tri-County Funeral Directors Assoc. National Funeral Directors Assoc. Maryland OCME Disaster Response Team, Maryland Steam Historical Society, Inc., Mason Dixon Historical Society, Inc. and the General Society of the War of 1812.

He resides in Winfield, Maryland with his wife of 31 years, Sherry, where they raised there three children. He is a parishoner of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Libertytown, MD.
